Praying for you…

Remembering our beloved cousin Ah Wei jie jie (Audrey) who is undergoing chemo therapy…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We give thanks to you for your great love for us. As family we come together to pray for Audrey. We give thanks for modern medicine. We pray that the chemo treatment that you have chosen via the doctors to be effective and safe for Audrey’s treatment. We command in the name of Jesus that all the cancer cells in Audrey’s body to surrender to the treatment and be completely eliminated from Audrey. We also pray for speedy recovery and peace in her heart. We ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.

“And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”
James 5:15-16 (NIV)

Fear can paralyze and trap you, especially in the face of tragedy, uncertainty and circumstances beyond your control. May God’s promises dispel all your fears and reassure your heart.

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
    Psalm 23:4 (NLT)

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
    2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
    John 14:27 (NLT)

Dear Lord,
My fear has trapped and consumed me. But I am tired of living under the weight of my fears. These verses reassure me of your presence and confirm that you are able to deliver me from my trouble. Please give me your love and your power to replace these fears. Your perfect love casts out my fear. I thank you for promising to give me the peace that only you can give. I receive that peace now as I ask you to still my troubled heart. Because you are with me, I don’t have to be afraid.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Dear Lord,
Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick,
We turn to You in this time of illness.
O dearest Comforter of the troubled,
alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love,
and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.

We place our worries in Your hands.
We ask that You restore Your servant to health again.
Above all,
grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will
and know that whatsoever You do,
You do for the love of us.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear cousin, the Lord sees you through it all. He is faithful. ‘With God we shall gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.’ -Psalm 60:12 For God is our refuge. ‘My soul finds rest in God alone’ -Psalm 62:1

O Father of mercies and God of all comfort, our only help in time of need: We humbly beseech thee to behold, visit and relieve thy sick child Audrey for whom our prayers are desired.  Look upon her with the eyes of thy mercy; comfort her with a sense of thy goodness; preserve her from the temptations of the enemy; and give her patience under her affliction.   In thy good time, restore her to health, and enable her to lead the residue of her life in thy fear, and to thy glory; and grant that finally she may dwell with thee in life everlasting; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

O God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers: Mercifully accept our prayers, and grant to your child Audrey the help of your power, that her sickness may be turned into health, and our sorrow into joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

O God of heavenly powers, by the might of your command you drive away from our bodies all sickness and all infirmity: Be present in your goodness with your child Audrey, that her weakness may be banished and herstrength restored; and that, her health being renewed, she may bless your holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
