Madagascar 2

Really enjoyed watching M 2 with my friends this evening. M 2 is so witty, energetic, snappy and well-paced. The whole cinema was constantly filled with laughters and giggles…wahahahaha…

my favourite character is Melman the Giraffe.

He is somewhat of a hypochondriac, having doses of medicine for meals and doctor’s appointments frequently. He even complains about having spots on his neck. He is played by David Schwimmer.

Melman had a residence at the Central Park Zoo, where he would receive constant medical treatment for problems that, oddly enough, were all a figment of his imagination. Melman would undergo MRI’s, CAT scans, injections, flu shoots, and be put into braces and crutches for no particular purpose at all. In the Central Park Zoo, Melman received treatment, and was so used to his cushy life taking pills and undergoing treatments.

Cohen has the film’s funniest, laugh-out moments and best dialogue. The plane is clearly going down for a crash landing, and he says “It’s best when you hold your hands up like this, ah ha ha.” One of the best and most inspired bits has Julien dancing around in the background singing to Tina Turner’s Private Dancer. Also funny is an expanded role for Nana (Elisa Gabrielli), the tough, kick-butt granny who’s tougher than nails.

like the part where Melman cried out  ‘I’ve always love you, Gloria! I always have!’ and Gloria was snoring away…lol!
i think the penguins are cute too! and the two monkeys!
One of my friends from OCF is from Madagascar. He’s known as Laza. He has a great sense of humour. He can imitate the sounds that penguins make…lol. He also gave generously stamps and used phone cards from Madagascar to me for collection. He even treated each of us hot chocolate drinks in this cold rainy night as we enjoyed the Christmas lights deco at Paradise Community Church after the movie. The lights/ Christmas events are happening every night until Christmas eve. I so want to bring my mum there when she comes in a few days time! =) can’t wait to see her again! and my beloved sis and bros!

king Julian makes me laugh most…and the penguins too…because what they say truly reflects the cultural realities in madagascar…which makes the movie much funnier if you know the place =)

  2. LOL…it could be coffee after all…jk 😛 i was feeling quite awake thou…
gosh..need to cut down on caffeine…
can picture King Julian as a true madagascarian…haha…he’s so witty!
