King over the flood

Today’s Headline

‘Watery nightmare’

‘…across the state this week, triggering some of the worst floods in 20 years.’

‘Sarawak, and Kuching in particular, was badly hit by a potent combination of incessant downpour and seasonal king tides and the the city centre found itself submerged in rising flood waters that cut off many roads and areas in the immediate vicinity.’ – excerpt from ‘thesundaypost’

Praising God for the sunny weather today as we sang ‘Blessed Be the Name of the Lord’ this morning at church.

“For every blessing You pour out, Lord, i turn back to praise You…”

Finally, a bit of sunshine in the midst of rainy season!~ 🙂

Past one week has been raining continuously across the land…

Many families & business are affected by the result of the continuous rain — flood. People are in much despair. 😦

As we sang ‘Still’ this morning during praise & worship, i was once again reminded that we need to be still in the presence of our God the Creator, Maker of Heavens & earth despite the flood; to rise above the current circumstance.

The meaningful lyric spoke to my heart as we sang the song. Reminded me to  pray for the victims of the flood.

Hide me now
Under your wings
Cover me
within your mighty hand

When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father you are King over the flood
I will be still and know you are God

Find rest my soul
In Christ alone
Know his power
In quietness and trust

Have mercy on us, Lord.

Help us to keep our focus on You.

Help us to know that You are in control.

Have mercy on us.
